Abraham Goldberg wrote that his maternal great grandfather lived in Telsiai 100+ years ago and had a first cousin Avrohom Goldfuss. He seems to be the father of a vertitable tribe. Avrohom had a number of children, one of whom was Zalman m: Chaya Faige Frijohn. He and other siblings moved to Dublin, Ireland and changed his name to Goldfoot.

So my name must have been originally, "Goldfuss," and Nathan must have changed it when he went to England to Goldfoot. We also have an Avraham in our family as Nathan's first boy child was named Avraham, and then he died as an infant.
